Who We Are

The Wesley Foundation is the campus ministry of  The Memphis Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.   Our ministry began in the basement of Saint Luke's Methodist Church in 1956.  Our current facility opened its doors in 1960, and has been serving the campus communities of Memphis continuously ever since.

We undertake the making of disciples by fostering an atmosphere of safety and trust. We want you to feel safe here: safe physically, safe emotionally, and safe theologically. We pursue the development of discipleship in worship, in Bible study, in fellowship gatherings, and in service opportunities. We hope to help members of the university family develop a holistic approach to faith, rather than have them concentrate on one dimension of their lives.

We also strive to promote the quality of Leadership among our students. At Wesley, individuals learn to imagine, plan and carry out projects that can help our community be a better place. The students carry these abilities back to their homes following their university experience and are able to "hit the ground running" as they offer their gifts and graces  to their home environment.

Wesley is a place where you are valued as the unique individual God created.  You are welcome here for all our activities, and you are welcome for our unprogrammed times.  You can:
